So some do it every year, others just do not believe in it. But no matter who you are or what you prefer
Rugby World Cup 2019 will be the 9th official Rugby World Cup which will be held in Japan for the first time, from Friday 20 September to Saturday 02 November 2019. After the reveal of the all new 2019 Springbok Rugby jersey I’m feeling even more patriotic and ready for some South-African Rugby! Ready to show the world what us South-Africans are made of! My Parents even got Paul a little Springbok rugby outfit and I cant wait to put him in it.
Ready For us all to #MOVEASONE
After more than 10 samples with 30 different fabrics, grueling testing at the lab with the players the new ASICS jerseys feature the technological advancements to give them the edge in Japan with their own unique characteristics, features and story to compliment the playing styles and technical requirements of the Springboks.
After interviewing the players, the strongest voice was the comment from the players that they don’t want to be restricted by anything and want to feel “Unstoppable”. Based on this feedback and in-game analysis it motivated ASICS to create an unstoppable jersey by less making the players aware of any loose fitting or unnecessary tightness of the apparel while playing.
“I don’t want to be restricted by anything when playing. The jersey is the excellent balance between fast and strong – and it’s challenging to reach that. ASICS has produced a jersey that not only meets but surpasses expectations of what we wear on the pitch.” – Tendai Mtawarira, experienced Springbok Loosehead Prop.
The Springboks’ home jersey has a more traditional olive green and orange gold look that draws inspiration from the 1995 World Cup Springbok winning team. The Springboks start their Rugby World Cup 2019 campaign against New Zealand on the 21st of September 2019. The all-new Springbok jersey will be available in sport stores worldwide from 26 April 2019. Find it in South Africa from ASICS Canal Walk & Mall of Africa, Sportsmans Warehouse, TotalSports, The Cross Trainer and independent sports stores nationwide.
