Party Party Party!

So its all fun and games until you wake up with a hangover…

I love going out- meeting new people, having fun with friends, and just living in the moment – After a few drinks I’ll talk to anyone – it’s so funny the people I meet, old friends, new friends and it’s also ironic to see how small the world actually is, chances are you have either met before – or have a person or place in common, So smile, say Hi, and talk to people – it might just broaden your horizons.

So we had some pizza, a few shots and…Allot of drinks, do you ever wonder or think about what you had to drink or even eat the day after? Or do you just think about the hangover, well I took everything that we drank and added it up – I usually do, and it is shocking to see….

Last night was our friends birthday party, we went out before the initial party and had  a few drinks whilst watching the rugby – we shared some pizzas and a basket to eat and just had some fun –

See the summaries below of what some of us had to drink and how it added up!

Please note that the calorie intake per day for men and woman below is estimated – it really depends on you BMI and how active you are as a person. I calculated on an average moderately active man and woman. So these calculations can vary – this was just a fun exercise to demonstrate how we don’t even notice what we put in our mouths.

The food and alcohol calorie amounts were extracted from a few websites – they all correlate more or less on the estimations on calories per grams and per ml – I won’t publish a book on these findings but it’s a good Guestimation.


Me:

Female

Age: 24

Recommended calorie intake per day: 1,800 to 2,200 calories a day

Drinks:  1517 calories

  • 3 x double Bacardi oak Heart rum and coke(194 calories per drink) = 582
  • 2 x Castle light beer draught (150 calories in a draught) = 300
  • 2 x double brandy and coke (180 Calories per drink) = 360
  • 3 shots Jagermeister (63 calories per 25ml) = 189
  • 1 shot Aftershock (86 calories per 25ml) = 86

Food:  1143.4 calories

  • Chicken strip (299 cal in 100g serving)= 29.9
  • 1 ½ pizza slice (285 calories per slice) = 400.5
  • Small piece of Russian(150 calories in one Russian sausage) = 37.5
  • Small serving chips (71g small serving is 222 calories) =222
  • Doritos chips (907 calories per 185g bag)= 453.5

Eat before bed:  ½ Bag of Doritos chips and a pain killer with vitamin c

Woke up: Slept well, woke up thirsty with a big headache… kill me….

Total Calories for evening:  2660.4 ccalories


Guillaume:

Male

Age: 28

Recommended calorie intake: 2,000 to 2,500 calories a day

Drinks:  1284 calories

  • 2 x double brandy and coke light (111 calories per drink)=222
  • 2 x double brandy and coke (180 Calories per drink) = 360
  • 3 x Castle light beer draught (150 calories in a draught) = 450
  • 2 x shots Aftershock (86 calories per 25ml) = 172
  • 1shot green Mamba (80 calories per 25ml) =80

Food: 1012.4 calories

  • Chicken strip (299 cal in 100g serving)= 29.9
  • 2 ½ pizza slice (285 calories per slice) =685.5
  • Russian (150 calories in one Russian sausage) = 75
  • Small serving chips (71g small serving is 222 calories) =222

Eat before bed:  Nothing – 2 glasses of water and a pain killer with vitamin c

Woke up: Tired, feeling very sluggish

Total calorie intake for evening: 2296.4 calories


Lisa:

Female

Age: 26

Recommended calorie intake: 1,800 to 2,200 calories a day

Drinks: 662

  • 1x single Gin – half dry lemon, half tonic =130
  • 1 x coke zero = 0
  • 2 Red Square silver (187 calories per bottle) = 374
  • 2 shots Tequila (69calories per 25ml) = 138
  • 1 Shot cookies and cream(20 calories per 25ml) = 20

Food: 740

  • 2 pizza slices (285 calories per slice) = 570
  • Peppermint crisp chocolate = 170

Eat before bed:  little sip of water and a Peppermint crisp chocolate

Woke up: fine –no headache, bloated from pizza

Total calorie intake for evening:  1402


Malcolm:

Male

Age: 28

Recommended calorie intake: 2,000 to 2,500 calories a day

Drinks: 1216 calories

  • 3x Smirnoff spins (187 calories per bottle) = 561
  • 1 x Single Johnny walker red label and water = 59
  • 1 x Single Glenfiddich 12 year and water= 55
  • 2 x red Square silvers (187 calories per bottle) = 374
  • 1 Shot Aftershock (86 calories per 25ml) = 86
  • 1 shot Green Mamba (80 calories per 25ml) =80

Food: 1368 calories

  • 4 pizza slices (285 calories per slice) = 1140
  • Barone chocolate = (228 calories per 55g bar) = 228

Eat before bed:  little sip of water and a Barone chocolate

Woke up:  Fine nothing different – no headache

Total calorie intake for evening: 2584 calories


Jantus:

Male

Age: 26

Recommended calorie intake: 2,000 to 2,500 calories a day

Drinks: 2098 calories

  • 2x double brandy and coke light (111 Calories per drink) =222
  • 3x double brandy and coke (180 Calories per drink) =540
  • 4 x Castle light draught (150 calories in a draught )= 600
  • 1 x Smirnoff spin (187 calories per bottle) = 187
  • 2 shots tequila (69calories per 25ml) = 138
  • 3 Jagermeister (63 calories per 25ml) = 189

Food: 1215.9 Calories

  • 1 pizza slice (285 calories per slice) = 285
  • 1 Chicken strip (299 cal in 100g serving)= 29.9
  • Russian(150 calories in one Russian sausage) = 75

  • 2 Minute noodles = 319

Eat before bed: Glass of water and 2 minute noodles

Woke up:  Woke up with a light headache and was very thirsty for cold water

Total calorie intake for evening: 3313.9 calories


 

Its fascinating too see – and the scary part is, we weren’t even over doing it, we’ve had evenings way crazier than last night so I don’t even want to know!

These were the calorie intakes for the evening only – not taking into consideration what we ate for lunch or breakfast or anything!

So brush up on your fave food items a bit and see just what you are taking in and were there can be a better option.  but don’t let it consume you and don’t forget to have fun,
